Helen is a registered psychologist who has worked in private practice, providing therapy for adults and assessments for adults and children.  Helen is committed to helping people on their journey in life, to work through the challenges faced, to help a person grow and develop into the best possible version of themselves.

Helen values a holistic approach in therapy; believing that sleep, diet and exercise all have a role to play in healthy psychological wellbeing.  Helen strives to find the root cause of the problems that a person is facing and to walk with that person on a journey of finding a different path for them to follow in life.  She values each person’s experiences and endeavours to create a space where each person feels valued and listened to and understood.

Helen utilises a range of evidence-based therapies to meet the needs of individual clients; these include Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  In addition to her therapeutic skills, Helen also brings fifteen years of experience as a primary teacher, focusing especially in helping children with learning difficulties.
